Bollywood actors Hrithik-Sallu: Face to face!

They're both consummate actors. That's why Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, who, reportedly, can't see eye-to-eye lately, met at Sohail Khan's 40th birthday party, Saturday night, and behaved as if nothing was wrong between them.

Actually, all is not well between the Khans and the Roshans, two Bollywood families that have been thick for years. And this is because Salman attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali by saying that not even a fly was in the auditorium showing his film Guzaarish. He took another shot at the filmmaker by asking a girl, who was hearing-impaired, at an event where he was chief guest to never meet Bhansali as the latter would make a lot of money out of her tragedy and not pay her anything. Nic Cage and the joy of the celebrity reduce

You and I do not make $20 million to pretend to hunt for treasure. We do not have Academy Awards and personal assistants; we have never owned any castles or pyramids. We generally don't walk around with a team of stylists and publicists standing between us and our unguarded thoughts, carefully prepping our little anecdotes for the next time we sit down with Leno.
So thank God for Twitter, YouTube, and every other medium that exists to remind us that no matter how famous a person is, no matter big his comic book collection may be, he can still screw up and melt down like the rest of us slobs. And thank you, Nicolas Cage.

In a boon for YouTube addicts across the world, Cage, who is currently in Romania filming the incredibly necessary sequel to "Ghost Rider," lost his cool during a squabble outside a Bucharest nightclub Sunday morning. His expletive riddled, inevitably recorded tirade -- featuring such instantly quotable lines as "Go for it, brother," "I'll fucking die because of honor," and "See my eyes?" -- turned up on the local news. And faster than you can say "Mel Gibson," the freakout was going viral. Read Full Story

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are getting ready for baby love times

On his 92.3 Now radio show Thursday, Cannon confirmed that he and Carey are expecting twins.
PHOTOS: Who else is expecting?
"In order for my wife and I to have our life, we need to be up front and I need to be able to share things with you and be real," Cannon, 30, said.
"I didn't even tell my wife I was gonna do this," he admitted. "I'm probably gonna get yelled at for not getting permission...We are having twins!"
PHOTOS: Stars who got their body back after having twins
It gets even better, Cannon explained. The very first folks in the world to know about the twins other than Carey, 40, and her husband Cannon were President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama! After recently performing for the First Family for a White House Christmas special, Carey met with the Obamas backstage, Cannon said.
PHOTOS: I'm over 40 and pregnant!
"They actually even questioned my wife about [the twins]," he said. "She hadn't told anybody anything! Because of the excitement and emotion, she shared [the news] with the President and the First Lady."
The dad-to-be gushed that it will be an "awesome story" to tell their twins one day. Why the secrecy? "That was something that we were advised to keep close to ourselves," Cannon revealed. Read Full Story

Will Cliff Lee Be Better Celebrated in Philadelphia?

Cliff Lee’s decision to sign with the Philadelphia Phillies and leave millions on the table had some fans scratching their heads. But Lee also gave up the chance to make even more money through endorsements, advertisements and other business opportunities that he might have made playing in New York for the Yankees.
Maybe, though, doing celebrity endorsements isn’t his thing. Perhaps he prefers to let other athletes take center stage. Possibly, his five-year, $120 million contract will provide him with more than enough money.
Lee is certainly likable. His Q-Score, which measures consumer awareness and appeal, rose to 16 this summer, from 9 last year. Lee’s negative Q-Score, which tracks how many people do not like him, fell over that period.
By comparison, Derek Jeter has a 19 positive Q-Score, while Lee’s new teammate Jimmy Rollins has an 8.
But until now, Lee was not a household name, perhaps a function of having played in smaller cities like Cleveland and Seattle. Only 23 percent of consumers surveyed were familiar with Lee. That’s up from 18 percent, but still only as high as Jamie Moyer or Rollins.

One might begin to wonder that Tevez handed in a letter transfer so how does the retiring dilemma come in between. Well it so happens that if Manchester City decide not to accept Tevez’s transfer request then the player might retire altogether from football.
Maybe later he would re-evaluate his decision and land running on the pitch again but for that to happen the player will have to undergo some assessment of UEFA and FIFA rules and regulations.
However, there is another possibility too and that is of the player retiring from football altogether, only this time his decision would be definite. Akshay Kumar is the largest tax-payer among actors

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has emerged as one of the biggest tax-payers amongst actors, by paying a quarterly advance tax of Rs six crore. The Khiladi star, whose tax payment grew from Rs 4.5 crore in the corresponding period in 2009 to 2010's Rs six crore, has others like Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif for company in the club of stars whose tax payments have risen year-on-year.
However, 2010's October-December period does not seem to be so blissful for stars like Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan, whose advance tax payments have declined in 2010, an Income Tax source said.
As against the Rs 4-crore in advance tax he had paid in 2009, Aamir Khan paid Rs 3.70-crore 2010 while Hrithik Roshan's advance tax payment came down by half to Rs 1-crore, the source said. Read Full Srory

Odd And Varied Choices Have Only Fuelled Instability

ENGLISH cricket must scarcely believe its eyes and ears, let alone the scoreboard. The nation that ritually tormented it, derided it, delighted in its every failure, mocked its incompetence and danced so lustily on its grave, is suddenly out-blundering the original. We appear to have appropriated ineptitude as our national sport and raised the bar. Both on and off the field, Australian cricket is embarrassing itself.
Now, it seems, there's an underground move to destabilise the captain. As if the task before Ricky Ponting wasn't mountainous enough. The apparent campaign to replace him with Shane Warne, whose unrequited ambition for the national leadership could prompt him to make a showbiz-style return if the chance presented itself, is a heartless undermining of both leader and team.
The descent into chaos with every new day of this Ashes contest is extraordinary. Each news cycle brings a new slant. The media is awash with theories from ex-players as to what's gone wrong. That's the nature of the media; it only becomes a problem when the national selectors give the impression they're reading everything, taking notice and firing the scatter-gun. Read Full Story

Top Actors Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan , Abhishek Bachchan: Flops of 2010

If Salman Khan and Shahrukh delivered hits with ‘Dabangg’ and ‘My Name is Khan’, here are the actors who dished out some of the biggest flops of the year:
1. Aishwarya Rai: Perhaps, this former Miss World was the flop-most actor in 2010. All 3 of her Bollywood films bombed at the box office even though her acting was pretty much commendable. With ‘Raavan’, ‘Action Replayy’ and ‘Guzaarish’, she gave a hat trick of B-town flops. However, the South Indian film ‘Endhiran’ came as a saving grace.
2. Hrithik Roshan: Again, the immensely talented actor served out 2 big flops in the much-hyped ‘Guzaarish’ and ‘Kites’. While ‘Kites’ suffered from lack of good screenplay, ‘Guzaarish’, ironically, flopped despite being a brilliant film. Read Full story

Shakira, French Prime Minister with thousands of fliers disrupted by Europe snow

Pop-singer Shakira and France's Prime Minister were among the thousands of air travelers affected by winter-weather disruptions in Europe during the past 48 hours.
Unusually strong winter storms wreaked havoc on travelers' schedules in much of western Europe, including France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Today's confirmed flight cancellations are already well 500 -- and could top 1,000, once the final tally is in.
In Germany, 11,000 Shakira fans had already gathered at a Frankfurt arena only to get news that the pop star was forced to make a last-minute cancellation when her flight was grounded in Paris, The Associated Press reports.
Not even top-level government officials could beat the four inches of snow that fell in the French capital -- which AP describes as "a city of frequent rain" but one that "is unprepared for snow."
AP writes "French Prime Minister Francois Fillon missed a special gala by Russian and French dancers at the Bolshoi because of delays leaving France. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin— no stranger to snow — offered to have the Bolshoi re-run the event in Fillon's honor, the RIA-Novosti news agency said."
Thousands of other air travelers suffered the same travel woes experienced by Shakira and the French Prime Minister. Read full story

Shahrukh Khan's show in Bangladesh

People call him 'King Khan of Bollywood'! I would rather call him 'King of vulgarity'. The way he appeared in from of roughly 25,000 people at Dhaka's Army Stadium of December 9, 2010, which was again watched by millions of TV spectators, as Bangladeshi channel Boishakhi got this show on their LIVE broadcast, most of the time, the elders in the family were feeling so uncomfortable, when half nude Russian girls were exhibiting exposed bodies to public in the name of dancing. And of course, I felt ashamed for those Bangladeshi flop actresses like Shimla, who went at the Army Stadium wearing a Western type dress exposing her body. I am sure; she wanted to get into the attention of Shahrukh Khan, hoping he would pick her up for any of his future shows anywhere in the world, where Shahrukh would love to lead the role of ring-master of a group of mere porn-star category performers..Read full story
